Hi! My name is Shelly Rosenthal, and I’m a fully certified, all-level ESL Instructor with 25 years of experience teaching English to students of all ages and backgrounds.  

I have a B.A. degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology.  I also hold a diploma in Business Marketing and a TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language ) certificate from an accredited program between York University and The York Catholic District School Board.   Upon graduating in 2006, I have been provided with some incredible opportunities within the York Catholic District School Board.  

I participated as a full time instructor for higher levels mostly, I also was a qualified Associate Instructor.. guiding, teaching new teachers who were completing their practicums .  I helped develop curriculum in Business classes and also helped pilot new advances in this field.   My teaching experiences were very detailed and positive which lead me to private practice and am loving it ! My students range from young to senior, ESL to all levels of Canadian students as well as corporate groups, which are also very popular.  

All areas are included:  Speaking/Listening/Reading/Writing/Pronunciation/Vocabulary and Grammar.   My students are from all over the world which initiate great experiences and enable me to stay enthusiastic with a continuing devotion for teaching!  I understand how crucial communication, empathy, sensitivity and understanding are. I try always to bring a cheery, positive, creative, patient and outgoing manner to every lesson. Motivating my students is a must !
